The evening opened with a welcome from Michel Girardin, followed by the 40-minute screening and a Q&A. Southern Cross School hosted the event and provided catering for all guests. Three original wildlife prints were available for purchase on the night.

Twelve days before the premiere, a ninth leopard was killed on the roads around Hoedspruit, a sub-adult male believed to be one of the cubs born to the Black Dot female, dispersing in search of territory. Seven of the nine leopard deaths recorded around Hoedspruit in the past two years were on the R40. The documentary explains what Ingwe is doing about it.

The proceeds from the evening contributed toward year two of the road ecology survey, which begins in January 2027 and costs R460,000.
